8-24-2023:  PLT2PCX conversion tip for Trueview and AutoCad

Be sure to turn off certain layers in your CAD file before running this conversion.  A solid color in the backround will result in a hatched area in the same color as the lines and you would have to edit it out.

Layers to look for to turn off are and could be more:

Layer1

TEXT

ROOM TAG

FILL

SEAMS

6-29-2023:  This tip is for Designers and anyone else that may use Quantum and Presenter.

If you have strange issues that normally don't happen such as print functions that will not work then go to the help menu.  In Quantum choose help and then reset Designer.  In Presenter go to the help menu under the pull down on the left and choose reset Presenter.

That fixes a lot of issues.

5-19-2023:  Here is a tip for a scenario that came up a couple of time lately.

One or more windows such as gradient or pom palette are not showing.

This lots of times has to do if say you are using a laptop with two monitors and then go somewhere and only use one monitor.  The computer remembers the other monitor and tries to display the windows on it.  It just means that now you cannot see them.

Tip 1:  To prevent this make sure that you bring all of the Quantum windows to your main display before you shut down to move.  That will make sure the windows are on the visible display.

Tip2:  You can go under the Window pull down in Quantum and choose Reset Tool Window Locations.  That should put all of the tool windows back into the default positions.
